These are the necessary Surly hub dimensions you'll need to help determine proper spoke lengths. Since we cannot do the calculations for you, we are not responsible for incorrect calculations. When in doubt, consult a professional bike mechanic. Please note, our old "1x1" has been discontinued. It's a low flange hub with "1x1" markings. Our "New" hub (it's actually called the "New" hub) is the latest and greatest, has high flanges and "SURLY" markings. All hubs are 32 or 36 hole. If your spoke calculator asks for spoke hole diameter, enter 2.4mm. If you have no idea how these dimensions will improve your life, go to another page on this site until you find something meaningful.
1x1 (old)
FRONT (100mm spacing)

Bearing Sizes:
All New model hubs (front and rear) use the same bearings
7901 bearing (full compliment, adjustable cartridge), 12.0mm i.d., 24.0mm o.d., 6.0mm thick
These bearings are adjustable cartridge type. They should be adjusted prior to use to ensure longest life, and occasionally throughout the life of the hub.
Surly cannot guarantee the accuracy of the measurements. It is ultimately the responsibility of the mechanic to make sure that the spoke lengths are correct.
