That said, we designed Midnight Special to thrive as an endurance road bike: most of the efficiency and quick handling of a road bike, but with an emphasis on comfort so you can cruise around all day without feeling beat up. 

That comfort comes from Midnight Special’s chromoly Natch steel frame, relatively relaxed riding position, and generous 27.5 x 2.35"/700c x 42mm tire clearance. This equips it for the harsh reality that all roads are not smooth, pristine ribbons of pavement. Most of us face potholes, cracks, and unexpected gravel on the regular, and these features help reduce the harsh ride that comes with it. 

They also make Midnight Special perfectly capable of riding most gravel segments and shortcuts you find out there — but if you’re planning to be riding gravel every weekend, that’s what we designed Straggler for. 

Midnight Special smooths things over with its impressive tire fit (up to 27.5 x 2.35" or 700c x 42mm). Takes the sting out of cracks, potholes, expansion joints, and surprise gravel, no matter how bad your city’s road budget is. Combined with Midnight Special’s chromoly Natch steel frame, this is a road bike that floats over rough roads and stands up to the toll they can take on bikes.
