>>>As you may recall, there were previously 2 or 3 paragraphs concerning the tech behind fork/hub/disc brake compatibility, most of which was exactly correct.  However, I received a phone call last night from Dave, who began our conversation with, "Your blog is wrong."  So we sat down and went through it bit by bit  in an attempt to bring clarity to our mutual understanding of this issue, but which resulted not in sunbeams bursting through clouds and a shout of Eureka! but in rather more confusion than we started, due largely to my bad habit of insisting on asking questions.  In the end I decided the best thing to do is to remove this portion until such time as we may gain some consensus surrounding our own designs.  You might think I would be chagrinned to do this, but you'd be wrong.  Chagrinned does not do justice to the emotion.  I will attempt to redeem me/us by reposting the tech bit if/when consensus occurs and, yes, I will at that time clarify it on the Pug fork page too.<<<
