Last weekend was Frostbike, the anual industry-only event put on by Quality Bicycle Products. Yeah, it was a trade show, and while we always get to meet new folks, say hello to old friends, and show off our pretty things, it's not always the funnest thing in the world.
Last year someone came up with the idea of a Pugsley race outside in the snow behind the Q complex. It went down so well (meaning almost no one died) that we decided to organize it again this year. And, by "organize" I mean we bought 10 cases of beer, shoveled a figure-8 on the pond, and lit a bonfire on the ice.
Over 100 people showed up, many of them even rode the course, a few of them puked, crashed, rode their bikes through the fire, and one lucky feller who didn't wear gloves (?!?!?) even got frostbite on his fingers. I think a good time was had by some for sure.
Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us wreck shit. See ya next year...
