Bikes. Parts. Chaos.

This weekend, June 10,11, and 12 marks the third installment of the DirtBurger here in beautiful Decorah, Iowa. (I say "here" because Decorah is where Casa Skip is located)

You and yinz friends are all invited to come down, ride our trails, sleep in plush accomodations under a bridge, stay up late telling beery ghost stories, play bucketball, and generally get your bike fun on. Show up on Friday and meet at the red thing on the map below. From there it's two minutes to 18 miles of singletrack INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS. It's also about three minutes to T-Bock's, the Haymarket, Your Place, and any number of other drinkin/eatin holes where food and beer are plentiful and CHEAP.

Bring a tent and a dirt-flavored bicycle. We'll have group rides at 11am and 2pm on Saturday, or you can explore the trials on your own. At 6pm on Saturday we'll commence the Second Annual Bucketball World Championships of the Universe. (Bucketball is a little like bike polo except you don't need a mallet or skinny jeans to play - but you do need shoes)

We'll also be doing a new thing this year:

So, yeah. Do that. If you have questions, e-mail us at derby@surlybikes.com

THE OTHER THING

We have a new rim for your Pugsley if'rn you want one. The Rolling Darryl now has a little brother - also named Darryl - without all the confusing cutouts. This means it will cost you fewer dollars for the same WIDE (82mm) single wall goodness. The weight is around 1030g (as opposed to the 830g of the original Darryl.) MSRP on the new guy is $120.

It looks like this (but without the big holes):

It still has the same 32 hole spoke pattern for running either Pug offset or non-offset).

Do you have questions? Still? Ok, you in the back with the shirt. Yes, you. What's your question?
