It's funny, if you've lived in Minnesota all your life as I have, rivalries just kind of come with the territory. We think our state is prettier than our neighbors, we have bigger IQs, we are better drivers, our sweet corn is better than theirs (ok Iowa you win that one...maybe), our forests are better, beer is better, fishing is better, our big lake is the best, women are prettier, we have better bike companies and conversely, they think they have better trails, better beer, etc, etc, etc. Then there are the jokes, everyone who grows up in the three states usually has a healthy diet of Wisconsin cheesehead jokes or Iowans with their blinker stuck. Of course, Wisonconsinites and Iowans have the same beliefs about their home state and here many of the same joikes turned around on Minnesotans. Comes around goes around man. Its just kinda what's done in the Midwest and I'm sure it is similar across the pond as well. 

These rivalries reveal themselves with great intensity when sports are involved and the upcoming weekend, it all comes to a head with the annual "Border Battle" between the Minnesota Vikings vs the Green Bay Packers. These annual games are damn near religion for some folks around here. My uncle used to call our house and hang up whenever the Packers scored a touchdown. BRRRRRIINNNGG...nothin. A certain "S" brand marketing manager around here loves to give me a hard time about how his team is soo much better (he's delusional of course). Sometimes we bet on the games with sixers or Pizza its mainly so we can hang out or talk about the game when its done. Rivalries give us a reason to engage our neighbors or aunts and uncles, cousins and friends across the border. Healthy rivalries are good for all involved and certainly giving each other shit is much better then not talking at all. We have fun with it.  

So in that spirit, this week's dump dedicated to this "Border Battle" weekend upon us. Who has the better Surly builds or locations? you be the Judge. Enough rambling! On with the pics and the Border Battle Dump!
