Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Rockford, Illinois the home town of Cheap Trick. My grade school principal who got me hooked on cycling was their original drummer.
Interests? Hobbies? Do you even have any?
I am interested in most activities that get me into woods and on lakes and rivers: camping, fishing, canoeing, skiing, trail running and most forms of cycling. I also get satisfaction from replacing grass turf in my backyard with gardens.

Who or what influences your behavior and why?
My 5 older brothers have had the most influence on my behavior. In some ways the have modeled the best path and others the riskiest.
