Rolling Darryl is a whopping 82mm wide rim, with a nice strong welded seam.  When used with a super fat tire (3.7-5" wide) run at low pressure, the Rolling Darryl produces a big footprint which provides amazing traction and float over soft, loose, and slippery terrain.  This means you can go places you couldn't before, such as many kinds of mud, sand and snow.

Like our other rims, the Rolling Darryl has an unusual dual spoke hole pattern. Lace all the spokes to one side for an offset wheel for a Pugsley or other offset frame. Lace alternating sides for a centered, undished wheel as you would use with non-offset frames. Neat, huh? "Almost Single-Wall" construction keeps Darryl's weight respectable without sacrificing stiffness. We offer a version with weight-saving cutouts that show off your rim strip and another without the cutouts.

It should probably go without saying that you need a frame with appropriate clearance to use this rim, but we're telling you anyway because we've found that just when we think we don't need to point out the obvious that's when someone will prove us wrong. Appropriate frames include our Pugsley and Moonlander, and other so-called fat bikes.
