Brand Manager, Head Zeigle Scout, Beast Tamer
I grew up in Rockford, Illinois the home town of Cheap Trick. My grade school principal who got me hooked on cycling was their original drummer.
I am interested in most activities that get me into woods and on lakes and rivers: camping, fishing, canoeing, skiing, trail running and most forms of cycling. I also get satisfaction from replacing grass turf in my backyard with gardens.
Pete Geigel or Pintz Guzld depending on the state I am visiting.
My 5 older brothers have had the most influence on my behavior. In some ways they have modeled the best path and others the riskiest. The writings of Aldo Leopold and Edward Abby have inspired my thinking about the world we live in.
My job is about rallying the Surly crew to sustain an environment that encourages creativity, innovation and staying true to the Surly ethos.
Bikes are freedom.
