Bikes. Parts. Chaos.

So here's an idea....let's all go ride bikes.

Have you heard of CycloFemme? I hadn't till just recently.

I have been charged with putting together alittle shin dig of a ride to support and celebrate women riders. I am all for it!

Details are not yet finalized but the skinny is this will be a ride for women, taking place on Sunday May 11th 2014, the same day a whole bunch of other rides for women are happening. So there is this crazy "being apart of a world wide thing" happening which is neat. Oh yeah and it's mother's day so don't forget that. We all have one am I right?

You don't have to ride a Surly.

But "It'd be a lot cooler if you diid."

Men are allowed as "man-bassadors" (kind of an annoying term but let's roll with it). Just know 'men' you are there to participate in a fun ride for women. So if you are not supportive you will be shanked and I will raffle your bike off to support domestic violence or keep it if it's really cool.

The ride will start and end at a local bike shop. We will visit each shop, say hello to the kind folks stuck behind the counters and maybe gather fun items along the way. I suggest a back pack, frame bag or carrying device of some sort. Maybe that's what the man-bassadors could be used for. Mules!

I'd like to know if there is anyone else out there thinking this sounds like a good time. Send me an email and let me know. We will think of it as pre-registering but not really. I'll be using pencil and paper and probably lose the sheet. But at least it will give me a glimpse as to how many lemonades and tea cups to bring.
