Bikes. Parts. Chaos.

It's weird but I love Winter. Many people around here love to complain about it. My view is there is no getting around it, so get out enjoy it. Sometimes I think about Winter on days like today.

This past Winter, Surly had the honor of sponsoring the last checkpoint at the Arrowhead 135. A group of us loaded up the Tipi and headed up north to Tower MN. What a spectacular event this was and it was even better to meet all the really nice people who host and those who endure this race. I was honored to be a part of it. Although the weather lacked the bite of previous years, you could not tell by looking at the participants faces. Bob, Jeff and I were part of the night shift and it was great to see the folks who made it to the last checkpoint. We helped them warm up in the Tipi, got them hydrated  and some just joined us around the fire. This was my first experience with the Arrowhead 135 and it was really nice to see the everybody pull together for the common experience only the AH135 can provide. It was great to be a part of it that is for sure.

I thought I'd share some photos of the event, kinda like throwing a snowball we've been storing in the freezer. Maybe it will cool you down on this summer day. Enjoy.
