Bikes. Parts. Chaos.

It's true, it's been a hell of a ride, but it's time for me to peel off and head down my own road for a bit. My time here at Surly as their International Marketing Manager is near its end, and I wanted to make sure that I say thanks before it's all over.

So...thanks.

There have been awesome rides, awesome beer, and the most awesome of all; some truly great people to share it all with. The folks who have made my time at Surly "awesome" are far too numerous to name here.  As a matter of fact, the folks who have made my time at Surly "a living hell" are also too numerous to mention. I guess that’s what they call "a wash".

The people who have made this the most worthwhile are the folks that I got to ride with. The Surly riders. I started out as one and soon I will be back on the street, riding my Pacer (or Pugsley or LHT) unconnected with the Surly HQ and reconnected with the ride.

Of course this means that Surly will be hiring. Go here to find all the info on how you can get a job on the best team in the industry:

Job should post there by the end of the week.

I’m out of here next month so this isn’t really my farewell, that comes a bit later. But this is certainly my thanks.

To Surly, QBP, and most of all to you. I know that shit sounds cheesy, but so it goes. I like mine blue.

There are no great words to express what this time at Surly has meant to me (that’s never really stopped me before, I know), so I’ll show some pictures that I’ve shown a million times. Pictures of the best times I had here (they aren't really, of course. One I wasn't even there for. The truth is the best times were all when I wasn't taking pictures, cuz I wasn't really thinking about it. I wasn't really thinking about anything. I was just enjoying the ride. Those are the moments, the ones I don't need pictures for. When it's only me and the road, and the company I keep. I don't have to think about forward momentum, because that's all there is. Push pedals, move forward. Repeat. These are the pictures I took just before or just after those moments. Truthfully, some of them are pictures I didn’t take at all, but they're still pretty fun).  (Last bit's for you Sov)
